There are many reasons why 1-on-1 attention is crucial to educational success.
In the classroom, the instructor's attention is divided among all the students in the class. Its impossible for the teacher to ensure that every student has comprehended the material completely before moving ahead. Teachers don't adapt to your child's learning style. In school, its up to your child to decipher the instructors teaching style and adapt accordingly. Our service is not limited to homework help. Our focus is on comprehending the subject matter, not only on completing homework. While Homework comprehension and completion is a major factor in total understanding, we endeavor to make sure the student's understanding goes beyond just being able to do the homework. This includes:
reviewing past material that the student has struggled with,
working ahead so that when the class catches up, the material will be review.
Test taking and organizational skills that are crucial to educational success.
We can even work with you to design a unique supplemental curriculum for your child.
Alternate Curriculum programs like Kumon and Sylvan have a different focus than we do. They have their own curriculum that they teach students that is separate from their primary school's curriculum. In effect this is like attending another school.
At Learning Systems, we don't have one curriculum that we teach to our students. Because our tutoring is 1-on-1, each student experience is different. We completely tailor our program to your unique child. If we design a supplemental program, it is based completely on their needs as a student, and your wants as a parent.
